ClipMania SARL-S (registration number B286461) is a software company incorporated in Luxembourg, operating the Frameway platform — an AI-powered video editing service accessible at frameway.ai. Our registered address is 3 Um Flouer, Hagen, Luxembourg. We are the data controller for all personal data collected through our website and platform. Data we collect
We collect data you provide directly and data collected automatically when you use our services.
Account data
Name, email, password (hashed), and billing info when you create an account or subscribe.
Usage data
Pages visited, features used, video uploads, clips generated, session duration, and interaction logs.
Device & technical data
IP address, browser type, OS, device type, referring URLs, and approximate geolocation derived from IP.
Content data
Video files you upload for processing. Used solely to provide the service — never for any other purpose.
Communication data
Messages sent via our contact form, demo request form, or email — including support enquiries.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Under GDPR, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Contractual necessity
Processing required to deliver the service you signed up for — account management, video processing, billing.
Legitimate interests
Analytics, security monitoring, fraud prevention, and product improvement — where not overridden by your rights.
Consent
Marketing emails, non-essential cookies, and analytics tracking — only where you have explicitly consented. Withdraw at any time.
Legal obligation
Tax records, financial reporting, and compliance with Luxembourg and EU law.

Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how our website and platform are used. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymised where possible. Analytics cookies are only activated after you grant consent via our cookie banner.
Google Analytics 4 — website traffic and behaviour analysis. Processed in the EU where possible. Opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
PostHog — product analytics for in-app feature usage. Self-hosted or processed under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Third-party services
We work with a limited number of trusted third-party providers. Each is contractually bound to process your data only as instructed and in compliance with GDPR.
Stripe
Payment processing. We do not store card data. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
AWS
Cloud storage for video files and platform data. EU region where possible. All data at rest is encrypted.
Resend
Transactional and marketing emails — account confirmations, product updates, notifications.
Framer
Our marketing website is hosted on Framer. Framer may collect standard server logs on page visits to frameway.io.

Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our service or meet legal obligations.
Account data: retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 2 years after closure, unless deletion is requested.
Video files: retained for 90 days after your last activity. You may delete them at any time from your account.
Billing records: retained for 10 years in accordance with Luxembourg accounting law.
Analytics and log data: retained for up to 14 months before automatic deletion.

Your rights under GDPR
As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights. Email privacy@frameway.io to exercise any of them. We will respond within 30 days.
Right of access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure
Request deletion where there is no legitimate reason to continue processing.
Right to restrict processing
Ask us to suspend processing in certain circumstances.
Right to data portability
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
Right to withdraw consent
Withdraw consent for marketing or analytics at any time.
Right to lodge a complaint
File a complaint with the CNPD in Luxembourg or your local supervisory authority.

International data transfers
Frameway is based in Luxembourg (EU) and aims to process and store data within the EEA. Where third-party services transfer data outside the EEA — for example to the United States — we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. A list of our subprocessors is available on request at privacy@frameway.io.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
